If you want to get 5 plus years of use without service then the wiring must not get in contact with any oily substance and alcohol. As both alcohol and oil deteriorate the rubber shielding of all wires

Maintanence tips :

Weekly clean the wire with mild soap and water to remove any oily substance / materials or alcohol residue
