Vuarnet, a distinguished French eyewear brand, has been synonymous with innovation and style since its inception in 1957. Founded by optician Roger Pouilloux, the brand revolutionized eyewear with the creation of the Skilynx lens, designed to enhance vision in overcast conditions—a significant advancement for skiing enthusiasts. 

The brand’s prominence soared after French ski champion Jean Vuarnet wore the 02 model, equipped with Skilynx lenses, during his gold medal victory at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley. This collaboration led to the official establishment of the Vuarnet brand in 1961.
