Repair Lead Times

A normal battery service can be completed in 1-3 business days. Lead time begins on the first full day we have your unit.

Units Requiring Additional Repair

Any work beyond replacing the internal battery is not included in the price of this listing. This listing only includes us replacing the internal battery. After replacing the internal battery, we fully test the units with a light and charger. If we determine that additional circuit level repair is required, we will send a message to you via the eBay messenger asking for permission before doing any additional work.

Additional repair is a flat rate rate of $150 and it also comes with a 1Year Warranty.

Warranty Information

Our services are warrantied for 90 days to 6 months variable to the condition and use of your battery pack. The warranty of the Battery Service only covers the internal battery itself. The warranty does not cover other unrelated components.

All units are fully covered under our warranty for any defect in our process or premature failure of any kind. However, we do not cover external power surges or abuse of any kind. You will need to pay for shipping to us, and the return shipping will be at our expense. There will be no other charges at all.

All customer units are logged in our system with their model and serial number. If these numbers do not match upon return, we cannot honor your warranty.

All of the internals of your unit will also be documented and marked prior to shipping back to you. If these markings are missing because of boards being swapped or someone attempting repair, we cannot honor your warranty.

Please do not open up or attempt to repair your unit, this will void the warranty.
If your warranty claim is not accepted, you can either decide to get the unit repaired again or have it returned at your expense. All warranty claims MUST be shipped back to us for warranty evaluation

Recommendations:

For the simple fact that sometime a bad of defective LED light wire or wall charger wire or shorted out connectors can damage your high powered re-chargeable lithium batteries but can also cause charging issues or drainage if the battery.

Upon receiving your complete unit not only we can provide a free visual inspection but can test it in our lab for its proper functionality. Once your unit is ready the. We get to test your complete LED loupe light system for 24 hours before shipping. So when you receive it back there are no more issues left for you to deal with.

Older that a year or two plastic wires and connectors on the LED light and wall charger can become brittle due to constant use or heat / cold temperatures exposure.
It is important to get these expensive and professional LED light systems maintained for years of continuous service.

cautions:

One should NEVER use a low cost after market wall charge from amazon or other websites.
One should never inter exchange or even test any other wall charger in your office to charge these battery module.
These batteries are extremely durable and can last for 10-20 years. But also extremely sensitive to the wrong voltage or wrong polarity of the voltage.
Once plugged into a wrong charger intentionally or unintentionally will toast it for good. But good news is these can still be rebuild and we do provide that service as well.

It is found to be a very common reason for these battery modules to be destroyed within 2 seconds after being plugged into the wrong wall charger as the internal circuit gets burned.

Your Discovery battery Pack is fully repaired and rebuild along with an installation of brand new lithium ion polymer rechargeable . battery.
We Alreday tested for illumination.
Which means bulb is lighting up time on all three intensities.
It is charging for the 1st time.
We still need to run at lease three full recharging cycles and test the duration of the LED light on all three intensities. Which will take at lease 24 hours.

If you need it urgent by Tuesday we can run one test on the intensity that you use the most. And if it does pass the test on that intensity. We can ship it before 4:30 PM California time today as ups will close 4:30

But we will barely be able to run one test.

If it is ok with you to ship it in Monday and you will get it some during the next week no later than Friday depending on the ups delivery time in your area.

Let me know if you would like to get it shipped with just one cycle of testing

Or would you allow me to do 3 complete cycles on all intensity.

Why three cycle testing is important.

Sometime brand new defective batteries do fail and if it does then it is covered in warranty but you and I will lose time in shipping back n forth.

Please consider allowing the weekend for us to test it thoroughly. So it can last you for at least a year during the warranty period. And if it can last 1 year then it can last even longer varying upon intensity usage.

We discovered that your charger had previously been repaired by someone who may not have realized that this is a highly sophisticated battery pack designed for surgical procedures. During its lifetime, the charging pin was replaced with a low-quality, oversized $1 component that was manually soldered. This is unsafe and should no longer be used with your battery pack.

The oversized connector can place excessive stress on the battery pack’s charging port. Over time, this can damage the internal connector beyond repair, requiring a full circuit board replacement.

If you have a second, original Orascoptic charger that has not been repaired and still has the factory charging pin (smaller, rubber-coated, with a flexible wire), you should use only that charger. Using an original, unmodified charger is required for the one-year warranty to remain in effect for this repair/rebuild.

Continuing to use the repaired charger poses serious risks:

• Daily charging pressure on the connector can lead to breakage or short circuiting.
• A short circuit inside the battery pack can cause overheating, and in worst cases, fire or a small explosion.

Since surgical offices rely on daily charging, we strongly recommend discarding this repaired charger. Please check if your office has an original Orascoptic charger. If so, kindly send us a quick photo of the charging pin so we can confirm. If you do not have a safe charger, we can provide you with a link to purchase a brand-new original Orascoptic wall charger with a 3-year warranty. This will also ensure your battery pack repair remains covered for one year.

With the repaired charger you sent us, warranty coverage is limited to 30 days from the date of shipping, and it applies only to the repair and replaced battery. Any damage caused by this faulty charger will not be covered.

If you do have a working original charger, please allow us to discard this unsafe one so it cannot be accidentally reused. This will protect your recent $500 battery repair investment and keep your warranty intact.
