When plugged in makes a long beeping noise

seems like recharging the capacitor and then intermittent beeping.
Rechargeable 4 x Batteries are most like dead

doesn’t test 

no ready light comes in

wall adapter is good

buy only if you like electronics repair projects or need electronic components or able to replace rechargeable  batteries. Possibly 4x AAA batteries not sure
